We strongly encourage new people to join IMPACT! or even volunteer casually with our projects. All of our meetings and activities are open to the public, so feel free to drop by or give us a call if you would like to volunteer with one of our many projects! IMPACT! is not exclusive to “experienced” activists, but rather we want to involve people who have never participated in activism before and help them develop their skills and foster leadership abilities. The only requirement for joining IMPACT! is that you have a dedication for social justice and a desire to live in a free world.
Here is a list of regular events and activities of IMPACT!
Every other Wednesday - weekly IMPACT! meetings (Contact us for details)
Every other Tuesday - meeting for the Committee for Immigrants' Rights (held in Santa Rosa)
Friday nights - CopWatch patrols and community outreach (8pm-midnight)
Saturday mornings - Food Not Bombs cooking and serving (corner of Howard and Washington St.)
We also regularly organize events such as free movie nights, forums, workshops, protest marches, and field trips to actions all around the Bay Area.
