This is a list of workshops that we can offer, free of charge (though if you live far away and would like us to come, some gas money is appreciated). These are mostly entry level workshops (for newer to intermediate activists and organizers). They are designed to be interactive and participatory. We are not experts, lawyers, nor professionals. We are volunteer organizers and we believe that in our workshops the teacher should learn and the learner should teach. That being said, feel free to contact us if you would like us to present to your organization, group of friends, congregation, union, etc.

Grassroots Fundraising 101- we talk about where money comes from, who gives money, why it's important to know how to raise funds as activists/why it's revolutionary, how to write a good rap, and then we brainstorm coming up with a plan. This workshop is geared towards people who work in a group that plans on raising money in the future.

Challenging White Supremacy- this workshop is designed for white activists who want to learn how to better combat white supremacy as organizers for social justice, and build multi-racial movements. We take much of our information and inspiration from SF-based Catalyst Project (check em out on our Links page).

Know Your Rights- What are your rights when stopped by the police? What are the police allowed to do or not do? What should you say/not say? This workshop goes over the basics of our Constitutional rights with law enforcement.

Know Your Rights 2.0- What is the role of law enforcement in society? Do we need them? Are there other methods of keeping the peace? What is the history of law enforcement in this country and the theories guiding their practices? How can we effectively organize to stop police abuse and build safe, strong communities?

Tasers 101- We'll discuss the history of Tasers, the many dangers and controversies associated with the technology, and some work we've done to ban them in our community.

Campaign Strategy- We'll go over how to plan a campaign from start to finish. We'll help participants identify their goals, their allies and opponents, their targets, and what tactics they want to use. As We can also plan a separate workshop on how to plan events and actions, or we can incorporate it into this workshop.

Challenging Sexism- We can help facilitate small groups of young women or men to discuss sexism in our lives, our movements for justice, and our communities, and how we can dismantle it. (women's and men's groups are facilitated separately).

Media- We can give a basic introduction into dealing with the media as an organization- how to make sure they come to your event, how to write a press release, how to stage a press conference, etc.
